Hi: - I have some Dr Duck's Ax Wax; cleaned up some spots on a 1960 ES-330 quite nicely! - thanks, Alex

If you care, buy Dr.Ducks Ax Wax. After 30 yrs- It's all I use on my Martins, Gibson & Deans. - 30097

Dr.Ducks Ax Wax is unreal, 3 or 4 drops to polish guitar is awsome, strings are tops also -  gazza3080

Please can you direct me to any UK distributors for Dr Ducks Axe Wax. I bought some a couple of years ago at a guitar show and haven't seen it for sale anywhere else. I think it's brilliant and use it all the time on my Fender Jazz Bass guitar. Although I am ok at the moment as it lasts so well, I need some very soon. Thank you. - Regards - John - Thanks again....

By the way....I've been using the Axe Wax for years (over 10) and swear by it....I'm a professional bass player, as well as a teacher and director of a number of music programs. I didn't know that Dr. Ducks Ax Wax was the same company as you. I've been recommending your stuff since the first time I used it!! Check out my site <http://www.davesolzberg.com>www.davesolzberg.com and the rock school that I direct at <http://www.doghousemusic.com>www.doghousemusic.com We have a number of endorsers (Aguilar, Meyer, Guitar Center, etc), and have well over 200 students that pass under me. Personally I have over 20 students, as well as direct the music programs a few schools in Boulder County, Colorado., as well as freelance over 275 gigs a year.

IF YOUR WHEEL IS HALF AS GOOD AS YOU AXE WAX, THEN I'M ALREADY HOOKED!!! - Thanks again, Dave

The AX-WAX is outstanding! Quick ship, perfect packing. Excellent! - 30097

Dear Dr Duck, - Just wanted to say thanks and share this with you-I was amazed at the experience.

I have been using John Pearse 80/20 light gauge bronze strings (200L) on my Martin J-40 for quite a while.  I play mainly fingerstyle similar to Laurence Juber with bare fingers instead of fingernails or fingerpicks.  I buy the strings from Just Strings or Maury's Music or locally from GryphonStrings in Palo Alto, CA.

When I changed strings last Friday, my wife (who is a pianist and my biggest musical critic) commented that the strings sounded "dead", even "tinny."  This was a surprise to me since I have been using JP 80/20s for years: they're great and they have better intonation on my guitar than anything else I have tried.  OK, so maybe I got a bad set.  I opened another set of JP 80/20 lights and strung them up.  Almost the same sound but... maybe a little bolder.  So I asked myself: what is it I usually do to my guitar after restringing it besides tune it and play it?  The only thing I could think of was polish it with Dr. Ducks Ax Wax.  This includes a swipe-and-wipe-off of Dr Ducks on the strings, too.   I did this to the strings and the guitar just roared into life!  Somehow the Ax Wax allows the strings better flexing or something, the beauty and resonance of the JP strings was what I had remembered from the J40 in the past.  My wife commented, "Yes. Now it sings!"  The chords just bloomed and sustained with tons of volume.

Is there some kind of reason for this (physics, chemistry, engineering, or otherwise) why this happened?   Just curious.

Thanks to all for your great guitar products! - Sincerely, Mark Riesenberger

Hi! - Tonight we used the Ax Wax for the first time and are really pleased with it. My husband has a Parker Nitefly M (with a mohagany body) that he was concerned about cleaning; it came out really well and he was very pleased. I have a very cheap no-name bass that I've taken half the lacquer off and I was so happy with how the wood looked after I hit it up with the Ax Wax that I'm probably going to strip the rest of the lacquer off...Thanks for everything! "I have tried Dr. Duck's ax wax on my guitar for about a month now. With his product I get a beautiful shine on all my guitars. I have even seen a noticeable difference in my rosewood fretboards since I've been using the product. The wood is moisterized and just looks healthier. As Dr. Duck mentions on his site, this is a very concentrated formula, so a little goes a very longway. It only takes a few drops to do a whole guitar! Many thanks for the very quick reply.  In the meantime, as you recommended, I have tested Dr Duck's Ax Wax on a hidden part of the guitar and it works absolutely fantastic.  It's the ideal product for cleaning the neck on my Sadowsky Strats - AND retaining the matt finish. - Thank you, Dr. Duck's!

Regards Doug

Mr Duck, Thanks! I am a luthier who builds bowed guitars called GuitarViols. My clients do major movie tracks with my instruments. I use Ducks as a last touch before sending them out. Works great on French Polish as well! Have a look at my links ;-)

After using your 10-47 and 11-50 acoustic strings for the first time, i am very pleased with them. My two expensive high quality Martin guitars have never sounded so good. I was curious if the 10-47's would be to light, but they do not have any fretbuz on my D-28 at standard tuning. This was my first experience with your ax-wax, and man the stuff works better than any product i have ever tried. I have one acoustic guitar that gets played everyday, banged around, and has sat out in a stand for ten years. It still looks great after using the ax-wax on it a couple weeks ago. With the ax-wax i was able to rub out smaller scuffs and marks that no other polish has done! The wood finish has never looked so deep and rich! Dr Ducks products are the best quality and best buy out there. I have used the 10-46 electric strings for a few years on my fender ax's, and they perform better than any strings i have used. They sound great and last a very long time. Thanks again for the great deal you gave me on my last purchase. I will buy and use your products on my collection of a dozen ax's forever! When it warms up here in the midwest, i might even try the ax-wax on my Harley!

Thanx for gettin my strings and ax-wax shipped to me quickly. I stripped down one of my Martins, cleaned it up with the ax-wax, and put a set of 11-50 Dr.Ducks on it. The Martin has never looked or sounded so good. This week i will be using ax-wax on my old made in USA see thru red finished fender. It will get the best electric strings on the planet, the 10-46's. It's gettin dressed up for a jam next saturday. My lovely wife turns fifty and there will be a big rock n roll party. My "ducked" out fender is going to look good, sound good, and get a good work out. I have been using your 10-46's for a couple years and they withstand string bending, stay in tune, sound better, and last a long time. Thanx again Ducks Deluxe for having the best american made ax-wax, and the best american made strings i have used since i started playing american made stringed instruments 40yrs ago. And yes, I was made in the 50's in the USA ! ... Mark Bullock

I just received some of this fantastic stuff from my brother (who is also a guitarist) for my birthday. Up to this point I had unfortunately been unaware of your product. I now know that I will never be using any other types of cleaners or polishes again. None of the other brands can match what your product is capable of. I just spent about an hour applying the Ax Wax to a few of my guitars. Old, new, it doesn't matter; the finishes looked pristine and shining like they were right off the show-room floor! I just wanted you to know how impressed I am by your product and to also let you know you have a new, life-long customer. I'll also be telling my band mates about it too! Thanks for making a polish that actually works in every aspect.

Luke Offield

Hey everyone at Dr. Ducks, Just wanted to say THANKS! I am a very proud owner of a few Martin guitars, a D15 Custom, DX1, and a Martin acoustic electric custom. Well yesterday I was brave enough to clean the fret boards by using 0000 steel wool and then applying your AX WAX!

I had inquired about using the AX WAX on the hand rubbed finish on my D15 and the DX1 and you answered me with trying it out on a small area first. WELL! while applying the rag to the frets I slipped off the fret board and went across the sound board with my small drop of the ax wax on a clean rag. SHIT I THOUGHT! I figured well I did it now. I sure did. I worked the ax wax into the entire guitar and I AM FRIGGIN AMAZED how alive the guitar looks and feels! I did exactly what is suggested on the bottle and kept lightly rubbing until the oily feel was no longer there.

New strings, upgraded to a Martin Bone saddle and some (Bob Colosi) bone bridge pins. My guitars look and sound amazing!

You guys ROCK and I can't tell you how happy I am with your product and how it really works. I played longer yesterday then I did all weekend!

I recommend your Dr. Ducks Ax Wax to anyone who loves their guitar!

Thank you and reagrds,

Rocco Mirro

Subject: annual report on Ducks Delux as applied to knife collections

Date: Wed, 30 Apr 2008 14:07:08 -0700

Hi Doc, We spoke on the phone about a year ago regarding the use of AX WAX on my knife collection. I can tell you that my collection is in better shape than it has ever been. Maintenance is now reduced to the previous time. I have not seen one instance of negative behaviour on my collection by AX WAX.

HERE IS SOMETHING <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalbergia_retusa>Dalbergia retusa or COCOBOLO. Used on guitars for sure but also on knife handles and artistic vessels. Everybody wants the deeep deeeep red color. But, it seems that Nicaraguan wood is only sometimes that color and mexican is rarely seen in red. (!) If you put AX WAX on brown cocobolo three times in overnite "soak in,rub off in the morning" mode  it transforms into that bitchin red color. Do with that what you will. (DR . DUCKS AMAZING COCOBOLO REFRESHER) ?

Dear Doc Duck,

About a year ago we spoke on the phone about how Ducks Delux would perform on the different materials that are involved with knives. I said I would report my findings to you in a year, and here they are.

Materials that had your product and only your product applied to them once each month are listed as follows:

Stag (red sambar, India, deer), ivory, mammoth ivory, mammoth tooth, g-10,micarta,buffalo horn, bone (cow, colored and natural, jigged and smooth), red coral, mother of pearl, gold and black lip pearl, amboyna burl, afzalia zare burl,  black walnut, sapelle, tulipwood, cocobolo, polyanna burl, Narra, Chrome Vanadium, stainless aus8 thru cpm-154, ats34, damasteel, 01 tool steel.

All of these materials are just as they were a year ago. No decomposition, shrinking or effects of drying occurred. No rust, no patina or staining of any kind. Pictures show no darkening of stag or ivory.  Actually , In my opinion these knives are in better condition than they were.

I tested another group of knives with a very expensive military lubricant in this same time period.  They did not fare as well , and in fact were damaged.

I recommend the use of your product ,for materials such as stated above, unconditionally.

As I usually do with anything in the guitar world. I took Dr. Ducks claims with a grain.

I heard about it on the FDP as others there have ordered with satisfactory results. It arrived yesterday. I used it on Two Stratocasters a month old one, and a twenty year old one to see what it was about. I followed instructions and man... you ain't kiddin!!!!

The new strat shined almost too much, the chrome was mirror bright and the neck, there's the gem, the neck became rich and lustrous, and plays even better.

The old strat which is black, but all white parts are yellowed, became even more beautiful. The yellow doesn't disappear, but becomes richer, and more pronounced in a beautiful, classy way.

My other 4 will wait until I have a bit more time, but your product is excellent, economical, and if a person follows your directions, their results will be too.. Thanks for a great, simple and delivering product. Regards Jay Vinton, Honolulu, Hawaii.

I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful products. I used it first on my jet black b.c. rich and its truly has never looked so good. I am going to spread the love to all 17 of my guitars and will definitely be back for more. I will also scream rants from the highest mountain-tops to everyone i know about this product. You are amazing for coming up with this and thanks so much.

chris lanahan - lead guitarist for the band "day 1"

Hello Dr. Duck, I received my package a couple of days ago. So far I have only restrung & polished up one of my vintage Oahu square necks. She looks great and sounds great!! I will give you some detailed feedback once I give your products a better test.

Sure can tell the Christmas rush is on....packages are taking quite a bit longer to get to me....oh well....patience is a virtue they say!!

Thanks Doc, Perry BDB

Do you have bass guitar strings?

Can I get two sets of 5 string bass guitar strings instead of regular guitar?

I want to purchse the axe wax for my son.

I know he would love what it would to do the finish of his Peavey Custom Bass.

Your axe wax is the best product I have ever used on my instruments. I have a 100 year old violin that belonged to my Grandfather. I was worrying about it getting too dry here in Az.

After using your axe wax, it looks brand new.

Thanks, Joe
